About this product
A coupe plate has no flat rim: the surface sweeps from the centre up to the edge in one continuous curve, which is why this one stands only seven-eighths of an inch tall despite being just over seven inches wide. At that diameter it works as a bread plate, a side for a sandwich, or an under-plate for a bowl of soup. Of the four coupe rounds in Blue Star this is the smallest, and it ships in the deepest stack, three dozen to the carton, which suits a cafe turning the same few covers all morning. The blue runs edge to edge, uninterrupted by any rim line.
