About this product
A 7-1/8 inch round with a 3/4 inch wall, which is the appetiser and salad-course size rather than a bread plate proper. The extra inch over the 6-1/8 gives a dressed salad somewhere to sit without leaves pushing over the edge, and the slightly taller wall holds a vinaigrette back from the rim.
This is the piece that does double duty on a prix-fixe menu: a starter goes out, is cleared, and the same round comes back for a cheese or fruit plate later in the service. The speckled blue field reads well against greens and against pale cheeses alike. Cased in thirty-sixes, which matches the way a kitchen burns through a starter plate faster than an entree round. Chinaware, dishwasher and microwave safe.
