In a kitchen that plates tasting courses this is the presentation round, and the flat 7/8 inch wall means a cloche or a plate cover will seat on the rim rather than rocking on food. It is a full inch broader than the 10-1/4 dinner round, on a marginally shallower wall. Cased by the dozen. The speckle pattern is denser toward the centre of the well on this size, which gives a pale protein something to read against. Dishwasher safe, microwave safe chinaware.
