This is the dinner round of the coupe family, and at ten and a half inches across it sets a full entree without crowding. It is also the tallest of the four coupes at one and three-eighths inches, so the curve from centre to edge is steeper and a sauced dish stays put rather than running out to the rim. A kitchen plating protein with a starch and a vegetable will find the proportions easier here than on the nine-inch. A single dozen per carton keeps the weight manageable, since porcelain at this diameter gets heavy enough that a larger case becomes awkward to lift.
