A pastry section plating a tart, a quenelle, a slice of torte or a composed fruit dessert gets a wide white surround to work against, and the portion reads as intentional rather than small. It takes the same shelf footprint as the JS-112 round and stacks with it, but the two are not interchangeable at service: the flat round goes under a cover, this one carries the last plate of the meal.
