A coupe round plate 6-1/4 inches across with a 3/4 inch wall and no rim at all. Coupe means the surface curves up from the well in one continuous line, so the whole face of the plate is usable and there is no ledge for a sauce to stop at.
At this size it is a starter, a dessert, a bread plate, or the base of a two-piece amuse presentation. The rimless face shows the speckled glaze without the warm band breaking it, which is why kitchens plating minimally tend to prefer the coupe line over the rimmed rounds. Thirty-six to the case.
