About this product
The Miele Guard L1 AllFloor is a German-made bagged canister vacuum that cleans hard floors, area rugs, and thin carpet with one floorhead and no adjustments. At 12 lbs with a quiet 1200-watt motor, it is built for mostly hard-floor homes that want one machine and zero fiddling at every rug edge.
If your home is mostly hardwood or tile with rugs in between, you know the routine: stop at every rug, flip a switch or swap a head, then wrestle the vacuum under the coffee table. The Guard L1 AllFloor ends that. You glide from hard floor onto rug and back with nothing to switch or set, and its low-profile head reaches under beds and furniture where other vacuums give up.
Highlights
- AllFloor floorhead (SBD AF) moves between hard floors, looped pile carpets, thin cut-pile carpets, and rugs with no adjustments, and its low profile slides under beds and low furniture
- Quiet 1200-watt motor at a maximum of 75 dB with four suction levels, so you can vacuum while the family watches TV
- 36-foot operating radius (24.6-foot cord) to do a whole floor from one outlet
- 3.5 L HyClean Air TU bag and AirClean Plus filter capturing 99.99% of dust and allergens before the air comes back into your room
- Comfort 2.0 handle with a built-in dusting brush, plus an onboard 2-in-1 crevice and upholstery tool and a second combination floor tool (SBD365-3) in the box
- German build quality, tested to Miele's standard of 20 years or 750 hours of use, so you buy it once and have it serviced, not replaced
Who it's for

FAQs
-
Is the AllFloor floorhead electric or suction-driven?
It is suction-driven, with no separate brush motor. That keeps it light, quiet, and gentle on hard floors. It is also why we recommend it for looped pile carpets, thin cut-pile carpets, and rugs, and for low amounts of pet hair, rather than thick cut-pile carpet or heavy shedders. -
How loud is it?
A maximum of 75 dB at full suction, and noticeably quieter at the three lower levels. For most cleaning you won't need full power on hard floors. -
How do I know when to change the bag and filter?
The vacuum tells you. LED indicators show when the 3.5-litre HyClean Air TU bag and the AirClean Plus filter each need replacing, and the ComfortFit system keeps the swap clean and hygienic. No guessing, no dust cloud. -
Is Vacuum Warehouse an authorized Miele dealer?
Yes. We are an authorized Miele dealer and an authorized Miele service and warranty centre, so your vacuum is serviced here in Canada, not shipped away. -
What's the warranty on the Guard L1 AllFloor?
5 years on parts and labour, and 7 years on the motor, honoured in Canada through our authorized Miele service centre.
