Miele Guard L1 Vacuum Cleaner - Nordic Blue

The Miele Guard L1 is a German-made bagged canister vacuum for Canadian homes with thick carpet, heavy-shedding pets, and bare floors. Its height-adjustable 14-inch SEB 228 electric powerhead reaches deep into the pile for embedded dirt and pet hair, backed by a 5-year parts and labour warranty serviced in Canada.

Plush carpet is where most vacuums give up. The brush floats on top of the pile, pet hair stays woven into the fibres, and pushing the head across a thick rug feels like a workout. The Guard L1 ends that fight: Miele's most powerful powerhead adjusts to your pile height and propels itself forward, so you guide it instead of pushing it, and the bristles reach the base of the pile where pet hair and fine dust settle.

Highlights

• SEB 228 ElectroPlus powerhead: self-propelled and height-adjustable, with a 14-inch brush roll that deep-cleans thin, medium, and thick cut-pile carpet and pulls large amounts of pet hair
• SBD 365-3 combination floor tool: switch between bare floors and rugs with the flick of a pedal
• Quiet 1200-watt motor: four suction levels set from +/- buttons, engineered for quieter cleaning at a maximum of 75 dB
• AirClean Plus filtration: captures 99.99% of dust and allergens for cleaner air in your home
• 3.5 L HyClean bag with ComfortFit: no-dust-cloud bag changes, a real benefit in allergy households, with LED indicators that take the guesswork out of bag and filter replacement
• 36-foot operating radius: do a whole floor from one outlet with the 24.6-foot cord
• Built to Miele's standard: tested to last 20 years or 750 hours of use

Who it's for

• Homes with any mix of carpet, from looped pile to thick and plush cut-pile, plus area rugs and bare floors
• Households with high-shedding pets and carpeted rooms or stairs
• Anyone who values quiet, comfort, and a serviceable machine built for long-term ownership

Mostly bare floors and rarely vacuum carpet? You may not need a full powerhead machine. Call or visit our showroom and we'll make sure you're buying the right machine, not the biggest one.

FAQs

• Is Vacuum Warehouse an authorized Miele dealer?
Yes. We are an authorized Miele dealer and an authorized Miele service and warranty centre, so your Guard L1 is warrantied, serviced, and supported right here in Canada.
• Can the Miele Guard L1 handle pet hair?
Yes. The height-adjustable powerhead removes large amounts of pet hair from carpets and rugs, and the sealed bag traps it for clean disposal.
• Does this Guard L1 come with a real electric powerhead or an air-driven turbo brush?
A real electric powerhead. This model includes the SEB 228 ElectroPlus, an electrically driven, self-propelled, height-adjustable powerhead, not a suction-driven turbo brush. That is what lets it deep-clean thick carpet.
• Does it work on thick or plush carpet?
Yes. The height-adjustable powerhead deep-cleans looped pile, textured, and thin, medium, and thick cut-pile carpets. Raise the brush height for plush pile and it glides instead of bogging down.
• What is the warranty on the Miele Guard L1?
5 years on parts and labour and 7 years on the motor, serviced in Canada at our authorized Miele warranty centre.
• What bags does the Miele Guard L1 use?
It uses Miele's HyClean Air TU bags with a 3.5-litre capacity. Check the bag type before you order refills, and change the bag when the LED indicator on the canister tells you it's full.
