About this product
The largest plate in the 200-series: twelve inches across with a one-inch standing rim running the full perimeter. It is the presentation piece of the upright-rim range, used under domes, for chop plates, and for family-style portions that need an edge to keep things from travelling off the side of the plate.
Compared with the CA-112, which is the same diameter in the rolled-edge 100-series, this one gives a crisper border and a marginally shallower well — one inch against 1-1/8. The standing rim also puts more body around the edge, which is the part that takes knocks on a bussing shelf. A dozen to a carton suits an item ordered to cover breakage rather than bought by the stack.
