About this product
The Racingline Oil Cooler Kit adds a dedicated auxiliary oil cooler to hard-driven 2.0 TSI EA888.3 and EA888.4 engines, working alongside the factory oil-to-water cooler rather than replacing it. Racingline states the kit can bring oil temperatures down by roughly 15 to 20 degrees Celsius depending on driving style, ambient conditions, and tune, which helps the engine stay properly lubricated once you're adding power or spending real time on track.
A billet CNC sandwich plate installs underneath the existing oil filter housing, so the kit fits without removing the intake manifold or major disassembly.
Why Upgrade
Adding power to a 2.0 TSI generates more heat for the factory cooling system to manage, and rising oil temperatures reduce the oil's ability to lubricate properly. A dedicated cooler is one of the first supporting upgrades most tuned EA888 owners add, especially for track days or hot climates.

Installation Notes
No intake manifold removal is needed. Racingline's oil filter adapter lets the sandwich plate install underneath the existing oil filter housing, with lines routed past the chassis leg into the bumper cavity to the front-mounted core; fitting the core requires drilling mounting holes through the front crash bar. Racingline does not recommend installing the kit on a freshly rebuilt engine until after 1,000-plus miles and a full oil flush. See Racingline's fitting guide for the full install.
Ownership Notes
The stainless filter element is reusable. Clean it with solvent or brake cleaner and compressed air, and check it at every 5,000-mile service. Cars built before 2015 may need VW part 06L115678Q, a factory oil stem insert, to complete the fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this replace my factory oil cooler?
No, it supplements the factory oil-to-water cooler rather than replacing it, adding a second cooling path.
Do I need to remove the intake manifold to install it?
No. The sandwich plate installs underneath the existing oil filter housing.
How much cooler will my oil run?
Racingline states a reduction of roughly 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, depending on driving style, ambient conditions, and tune.
Can I install this on a freshly rebuilt engine?
Racingline recommends waiting until after 1,000-plus miles and a full oil flush.
