Five and a half inches of round china with a shallow seat turned into the centre, sized so a Paris cup sits down into it and stays put when a runner moves at speed. The ring detail carries across the flange and stops short of the well, which keeps the pattern visible once the cup is in place and leaves the contact area flat for the cup foot.
A saucer in service does more than hold a cup. It takes the spoon, the wrapped sweetener and the drip from the pot, and it gives the server a rim to carry by so fingers never cross the drinking edge. This one pairs with the PA-001 stackable cup and will also take the PA-404 bouillon piece when a soup course goes out on a cover. Porcelain throughout, safe in the dishwasher and the microwave.
