Ivory keeps the MS-5809IV close to the tone of unglazed earthenware, which flatters the pasta the bowl was shaped for. The geometry is wide and low, nine and a quarter inches of diameter, an inch and a quarter of depth, thirteen ounces to the rim, so a single portion covers much of the bowl's floor and reads as a full serving rather than a half-filled one.
