About this product
A white 12" x 9" oval platter is the piece caterers reorder without thinking about it: it matches everything, it suits any cuisine, and in melamine it goes to an outdoor event and comes back whole. Yanco's own sheet files this under a plate heading, but the long axis clears twelve inches and the thing is plainly a serving platter — it is used in the centre of the table, not in front of a diner, and the pattern's smaller 9-1/2" oval is the individual piece. Seven-eighths of an inch thick, one dozen to a box.
