About this product
Orange red reads as party rather than restaurant, and a twelve-inch platter is the size a party needs — wings, sliders, a tray of cut sandwiches passed around. The oval outline fits between round chafers and square trays on a crowded buffet where a 12" round platter would not. Thickness is seven-eighths of an inch, matching the 13-1/2" oval and a full eighth more than the 9-1/2" oval plate, which is what lets a loaded platter be lifted from one end without bowing in the middle. Boxes hold twelve, and the colour runs through the body rather than sitting on the surface.
