An inch and a half longer than the LY-106 and with an extra three-eighths of an inch of rise, the LY-107 trapezoid salad plate carries a dressed side salad without leaves tipping over the edge. Seven and a quarter inches is the working size for a starter course that goes down before the main and comes away before the entree lands.
Its one-and-an-eighth-inch wall is tall enough to hold vinaigrette in place on a salad plate being carried across a dining room, and shallow enough that a diner can still get a fork under the last leaf instead of chasing it into a corner.
