Nine and a quarter inches is the entry dinner plate size and the LE-109 fills it — wide enough for a plated entree with a starch and a vegetable, compact enough to stay well inside a standard dish rack.

Set against the 10-1/4 inch LE-110 and the 11-1/4 inch LE-111, this is the plate to choose where portions are controlled or where the cover also has to hold a bread plate and a bowl. Its 7/8 inch rise is identical to the LE-111, so those two stack together cleanly in a plate lowerator. The finish is Legna’s brown-on-white reactive glaze on chinaware, safe in the dishwasher and the microwave, 24 pieces to the case.
