That low profile suits side salads, bread service and dessert plating where height on the plate comes from the food rather than the vessel. It also underlines a bowl cleanly, since there is almost no rim in the way. Three dozen to the carton sits between the four dozen of the side plates and the two dozen of the ten-inch round, matching how often the size gets turned.
