Three quarters of an inch wider than the AC-15 and a quarter inch deeper, the AC-18 takes fifteen ounces. Both the width and the wall grew, which is why the capacity gain is larger than the measurements suggest at a glance.
Fifteen ounces covers a full bowl of soup rather than a cup of it, a breakfast cereal with milk to the top, or a stew served as a main. For a diner running a soup-and-sandwich combination, this is usually the bowl on the ticket and the AC-15 is the cup. The deeper well also makes it a reasonable underliner-free choice for anything served very hot. Three dozen in the case, white chinaware.
