The BR-18 is the deep end of the Brown Speckled nappie range: 5-7/8 inches across and 2-1/4 inches deep, holding fifteen ounces. That is just under a pint, in a bowl small enough to sit inside a standard cover, which is the combination a soup-and-sandwich menu needs.

That volume takes a full bowl of chowder, a generous portion of pasta, a chili with toppings, or a breakfast cereal with fruit on it. The additional quarter inch of depth over the BR-15 is what lets it carry the extra two and a half ounces on a quarter inch more width, so it still racks and stacks alongside the other nappies.
