About this product
Overview
This Bradco skid steer disc mulcher — the FD60 Disc Mulcher — is a disc mulcher for skid steer loaders, cutting at 75.74" overall width and requiring 30–45 GPM at 3,300 psi minimum. It mounts on a quick attach coupler. Bradco builds mulchers on two axes — the carrier they hang from, and whether the cutting head is a drum or a disc — and those two choices decide almost everything else.
Key Features of the Bradco Skid Steer Disc Mulcher
- Three published capacities: fells trees up to 14", processes up to 8", and stump grinds — no other mulcher in the Bradco range states all three.
- Heavy-machined steel QUADCO disc for smooth, robust operation.
- The bearing housing never needs to be greased — a genuine service-interval saving on a machine that runs all day.
- Debris shovel keeps the teeth clear, which is what sustains cutting rate rather than peak power.
- High efficiency piston motor.
- A high flow disc mulcher at 2,217 lbs — check your loader carries it before ordering.
- The QUADCO disc mulcher head is the component that defines this machine: heavy-machined steel, built for aggressive use.
- A skid steer forestry mulcher for felling rather than processing — the distinction that decides which head suits your work.
Why Choose This Skid Steer Disc Mulcher
- Felling and mulching are different jobs. A disc mulcher severs standing timber quickly; a drum mulcher produces finer material more slowly. Choose by what the site needs.
- Service intervals are a running cost. A sealed bearing housing and a self-clearing debris shovel are what keep a machine working rather than parked.
- A tree felling attachment that also stump grinds saves a second pass with a second tool.

Which Machines Fit This Skid Steer Disc Mulcher?
This mulcher mounts on a skid steer quick attach and is a high-flow machine: it requires 30–45 GPM at a minimum of 3,300 psi. At 2,217 lbs it is also among the heaviest attachments in the Bradco range, so check what your loader carries at reach as well as what it supplies hydraulically.

The FD60 stump grinds as part of its felling work, but for stump removal as the main job the dedicated stump grinder reaches 12" below grade, which a disc head does not.
FD60 Disc Mulcher Questions, Answered
Should I choose a disc mulcher or a drum mulcher?
A disc mulcher fells standing timber fast — this one to 14 inches. A drum mulcher processes brush and small material into finer mulch. If the job is clearing standing trees, the disc is the faster tool.
Does it really need no greasing?
Bradco states the bearing housing never needs to be greased. That is a design claim about the housing specifically, not the whole machine — normal inspection still applies.
What do the three variants differ by?
Quick disconnect size only — 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch or 3/4 inch, each with a 3/8 inch case drain. Cutting capacity is identical across all three; match the coupler to your machine.
What is the difference between a drum mulcher and a disc mulcher?
A drum mulcher carries teeth around a rotating drum and processes material progressively. A disc mulcher uses a heavy horizontal disc and is built to fell standing timber quickly. Bradco offers both.
What flow does it need?
30–45 GPM at 3,300 psi minimum. On a mulcher, pressure matters as much as flow — an undersupplied head will turn but will not process material.
