FX4 & Ranger Raptor — Transfer Case Compatibility: This transmission skid plate is not compatible with the factory steel transfer case cover. To maximize transfer case protection, we recommend the 2333.1887.4.6 RIVAL Aluminum Transfer Case Skid Plate, which sits on a 5mm thick reinforced crossmember. If you want to keep your factory steel transfer case cover, use the 2333.1898.1.6 RIVAL Aluminum Transmission Skid Plate instead. Note: The factory steel transfer case cover is made of 3.64mm thin steel and lacks an additional support point, making it susceptible to hitting the transfer case under impact.
Ford Bronco Owners: This skid plate is for 4-Door vehicles only.
Tap Recommendation: It’s good practice to use a tap on all included hardware and bracketry, or run the bolts into the nut plates a few times before installation to ensure ease of final assembly. We use zinc flake coating on all fasteners, and there may be some residual coating left in the threads.
