🔧 Why Upgrade from the FX4/Raptor Factory Cover? The factory steel transfer case cover is made of 3.64mm thin steel and lacks an additional support point, making it susceptible to hitting the transfer case under impact. This RIVAL skid plate sits on a 5mm thick reinforced crossmember, providing significantly superior protection for serious off-road use.
⚠️ Installation Notes
Tap Recommendation: It’s good practice to use a tap on all included hardware and bracketry, or run the bolts into the nut plates a few times before installation to ensure ease of final assembly. We use zinc flake coating on all fasteners, and there may be some residual coating left in the threads.
