About this product
The Ahimsa Purposeful Plate is a pediatrician-designed stainless steel kids plate created for big kids ready to move beyond toddler dishes. Made from durable 304 (18/8) food-grade stainless steel, this dinner plate replaces plastic kids dishware with a safer, non-toxic alternative.
Sized at 9 inches, the open plate design supports growing appetites and independent eating. Made with thicker stainless steel than many kids plates, it has a balanced weight and a sturdy, substantial feel. Smooth, carefully finished edges ensure comfortable handling with no sharp edges.
Each plate features a mirror-polished stainless steel interior. Color versions use a titanium PVD finish, where color is bonded directly to the stainless steel.
Unlike plastic, bamboo, or silicone plates, stainless steel does not warp, retain odors, or absorb soap taste. The plate is unbreakable and dishwasher safe.
Ahimsa dishes are MADE SAFE® certified and free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, melamine, and lead.
Best for children ages 5+ and for families seeking plastic-free kids dishware or durable stainless steel kids plates. The Purposeful Plate is part of the Ahimsa Signature Collection of pediatrician-designed stainless steel kids dishware.
