Picard 252/26 Pick Hammer - Flat Pein
The Picard 252/26 is a pick hammer with a 40 mm round face and a long, flat 20 x 3 mm pein. It weighs 450 g (16 oz) with its 300 mm handle.
The flat pein is long enough to reach behind bracing and into channels to raise low spots or tap out a line, and the round face takes care of general bumping and finishing.
The head is Picard alloyed special steel, hardened and tempered, and finished in Picard's blue hammertone enamel. It sits on a dual-curved hickory handle with an octagonal grip, fixed to the head with Picard's ring wedge. Picard has made hammers in Germany since 1857.
