Maisie is winking. That is the detail people notice first — one eye open, one closed, under an iridescent silver horn and soft pink ears. A white and pale pink unicorn with a bit of mischief in her face rather than the usual blank stare.
The sound box inside plays gentle white noise or a classic lullaby for 20 or 40 minutes at one of two volumes, then switches itself off. Nothing to come back and turn off once the room has gone quiet.
Her body is a soft blanket in white and pink with loose corners — light, easy to hold, and the part that gets carried everywhere. A velcro strap at the base holds a dummy or clips her to the pram.

When can my little one sleep with Maisie?
Red Nose Australia recommends keeping soft toys out of the cot until 7 months. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends waiting until 12 months. We follow the more cautious advice, so ours is 12 months. Before then she is made for supervised play, the pram, the change table and your arms.
