The WL-106 is a six-inch bread and butter plate, an inch and a quarter wider across than the WL-104 and deep enough in the well to take two slices of bread with the butter alongside. It also does duty as a dessert plate for a single pastry, or as the under-plate for a soup cup in a two-course cover.

Woodland's printed grain reads as planed oak at arm's length but behaves like melamine on the pass: it shrugs off a dropped tray and goes through the dish machine without warping. Shipping four dozen at a time suits cafes and bakeries that burn through side plates faster than entree ware.
