Yanco RO-2110 Rockeye Chinaware 10" x 4-1/4" Rectangular Sushi Plate, White and Brown — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Ten inches long and only four and a quarter wide, this narrow rectangle is cut for nigiri and maki. A run of six or eight pieces sits in a single line along it, which is the way a sushi chef wants them presented, and the width leaves exactly enough margin for a wasabi mound and a folded ginger slice at one end.

It is per-diner tableware rather than a server, despite the length: the surface comes to about forty-three square inches, less than a nine-inch round. Two dozen of the plate fill a case and they take very little shelf depth. Pebbled relief outside, smooth inside. Chinaware, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
