Ten by six and three-quarters with a one-inch wall, this oval plate steps up from the eight-inch to the size that carries a full appetizer course or a dessert with a sauce pooled beside it. Two extra inches of length and an inch and a quarter of width give a plater room to work in a diagonal, which is the usual reason a kitchen keeps ovals alongside rounds.
The wall gains a quarter inch over the smaller oval, enough to contain a loose garnish without turning the piece into a dish. Rockeye's ten-by-seven rectangle occupies the same slot in that series, so the naming lines up across both. The brown edge follows the oval rather than being broken at the ends. Chinaware body, dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
