A plain round dinner plate 10-1/2 inches across with a 1-1/4 inch rise to the rim. At this diameter it is the everyday dinner plate of the pattern rather than a serving piece: enough surface for a protein, a starch and a vegetable with clear space between them, and a rim wide enough for a thumb and for a server's fingertips.
A round of this size has no functional name stamped on it, which is deliberate: it goes out for breakfast, for a plated lunch and for dinner on the same shift.
