An 11-1/2" pasta bowl: a wide, flat-bottomed well 2" deep taking 25 ounces. The shape is drawn for long pasta, a broad floor so the strands lie flat and get coated rather than piling into a mound, with a low wall that keeps sauce from running off the edge as a server crosses the floor.
It works equally for a grain bowl, a risotto or a ramen portion that wants to be seen. Against the 12" at 30 ounces, this size gives a kitchen the same plating gesture on a tighter place setting. The flat floor also means a fork can be pressed down to twirl without the bowl skating away.
