The OC-409 tops out Ocean's shallow deep-plate family: nine inches of width, still only an inch and a half of depth, eighteen ounces of capacity. Pasta is the obvious use, since a wide low well lets a sauce coat strands rather than pool beneath them, but it takes a composed salad equally well.

Two dozen arrive in a carton. Of the three plates sharing this profile it is the only one reaching past a pint, and the width is where that capacity comes from rather than any extra depth. A kitchen wanting the same diameter with more room underneath should look at the deeper nine-inch pieces.
