Twelve inches makes the OC-112 the widest round in the Ocean pattern, and at an inch and a quarter it is the deepest of the four coupe plates as well. That combination leaves room for a tall composed plate, a shared mezze spread, or a steak whose garnish needs keeping apart from its jus.
It is frequently bought as a service plate, set down before the guest sits and cleared when the entree lands, because the broad blue-washed edge is the clearest statement of the pattern on any round. A carton holds twelve. The step down from here is the ten-and-a-half-inch, which gives back an inch and a half of width and a quarter inch of depth.
