About this product
The MR-311 is where Mars turns the oval into something that holds liquid. A 1-7/8 inch wall on an 11-3/4 by 7 inch footprint makes a shallow trough rather than a flat field, which is what a braise, a curry or a portion of pasta in sauce actually needs.
Seven inches on the short axis makes it the narrowest of the Mars ovals — a deliberately tight shape that concentrates a portion instead of spreading it out. Pair it with the larger MR-313 when one service runs two portion sizes of the same dish.
