The MI-106 is the 7-1/2 inch round in the Misty range, a salad plate shallow enough at 3/4 inch to stack deep in a service cabinet. At that width it takes a side salad, a bread course or a plated dessert without crowding the speckled stone-look surface that gives the pattern its name.
Four dozen to a case suits a dining room that turns side plates faster than it turns entrees. Melamine keeps the weight low in a server's hand and shrugs off the knocks that chip a ceramic rim, while the charcoal-and-brown gradient is moulded through the body rather than printed, so it does not wear away along the edge where plates rub together in a rack.
