The LE-706 is a 6-1/4 inch coupe round plate: no rim break, 3/4 of an inch of rise, one continuous curve from centre to edge. At this diameter it serves as an appetizer, bread or dessert plate.

Coupe is the distinction worth understanding here. The rimmed LE-106 covers almost the same ground at 6-1/8 inches, but its flat rim frames the food, where this plate lets the glaze and the portion run together to the edge. Plating that works with negative space tends to prefer the rimless shape. A case carries thirty-six; the chinaware is safe in a dishwasher and a microwave.
