At 9-1/4" across and 13 oz, this pasta bowl is the widest bowl in Houston and the one built for a plated main. An ounce more capacity than the 7-1/2" soup bowl across nearly two further inches of width means the food lies in a single layer: long pasta can be twirled against the side, risotto spreads instead of mounding, and a grain bowl shows every component.
The low wall also makes it work as a shallow serving dish for a two-person table. Red banding at the rim reads as a border around the plated food rather than a ring inside the bowl. Cartons hold two dozen, matching the dinner plate quantity, so an entree service can be stocked in equal numbers of plate and bowl.
