Ten and a half inches across with a 1" wall — the dinner diameter. This is the plate an entree is built on: protein, starch and vegetable with room left between them, or a full pasta portion without the sauce reaching the edge.

At 10-1/2" the round still fits a standard rack cell, so it washes on the same rack as the 9" rather than needing an oversize one. The matte black face gives plated food a hard backdrop with no reflected highlight, and in melamine the plate weighs little enough that a stack of ten can be carried without a cart. Two dozen to a case. Within Black Pearl's rounds it sits between the 9" lunch plate and the 12", and shares the 1" wall height with the 9".
