A nappie is the trade's name for the plain round side bowl, and this is a six-inch one holding fourteen ounces. It works as the step between the small four-and-a-half-inch bowls and the seven-inch salad bowl: big enough for a cup of chowder, a vegetable side for two, or cereal at breakfast service, and still small enough to go on a tray four at a time. Two and a quarter inches of depth under a six-inch mouth gives a wide, easy shape to eat from with a spoon. Three dozen to the carton, matching the two smaller round bowls.
