A six-inch round with a two-and-a-half-inch wall, holding eighteen ounces. The proportions are unusual for a salad bowl this narrow: it is deep for its diameter, which keeps dressed greens from sliding over the rim when a server carries two in one hand.

Use it for individual side salads, a cup of chowder with crackers on the side, or cut fruit at breakfast. Against the shallower five-inch nappies in the same range it gives roughly half again the volume in a footprint barely an inch wider, so it swaps in where a nappie was running short without changing the tray layout.
