About this product
Eleven and a quarter inches is the American banquet dinner plate, and the AC-20 is Abco's. It stays a plate at that diameter because a round only becomes a platter past fourteen inches, and because this is unambiguously what a diner eats from.
The extra three quarters of an inch over the AC-16 reads as confidence on the table: a protein, a starch and two vegetables can be set out with space between them rather than touching. An inch of rise means the rim will hold a jus. Caterers favour this width because a plated course looks finished on it without being enlarged. Rolled edge white chinaware, one dozen to the case, dishwasher and microwave safe.
