About this product
The Wilson A1000 1620 is a 12.5-inch baseball first base mitt built for developing first basemen who want a leather mitt with an easier break-in. Its deep pocket and single break point give it a defined receiving shape for catching throws and working low balls around the bag.
Full-grain leather starts with a softer feel than a stiff professional-series glove and continues to form with use. The reinforced Single Post Double Bar Web supports the pocket, while DriLex wrist lining helps manage moisture during play. Flat Finger Binding adds comfort for a player who keeps an index finger outside the mitt.
Wilson identifies this model for players ages 12 and up, though age is not a substitute for hand fit and the ability to close the mitt. The Saddle Tan leather and Blonde laces give it a traditional first-base look. This right-hand-throw listing is worn on the left hand.
