📘 Overview

The Haugen bolt-on-mount snow pusher box built for wheel loaders, telehandlers, tractor loaders and compact wheel loaders (HSP) is one box that becomes a wheel loader snow pusher, a telehandler snow pusher or a snow pusher for tractor loaders depending on the mount you fit. The box is the product; a separate bolt-on mount decides which machine it hangs on, and the mount can be changed later rather than replacing the pusher. Two box heights — 30" and 40", both 38" deep — in widths from 96" to 192", with a reversible rubber or steel cutting edge and AR-400 skid shoes.

A mount is required and is ordered separately. Ten mounts are available, and some of them only fit one box height — the pairing table below shows which goes with which.

🚜 Mount Compatibility — Which Mount Fits Which Box

Mounts are sold separately and several are restricted to one box height. Ordering a 30" box with a mount that requires a 40" box gives you two parts that will not go together.

Mount Machine Box height MT-SP01 JRB 416 40" only MT-SP02 JRB 418 40" only MT-SP03 IT 28 40" only MT-SP08 Cat Fusion 40" only MT-SP09 Volvo ISO / JD HiVis 40" only MT-SP04 Euro / Global 30" or 40" MT-SP06 JRB 100 30" or 40" MT-SP07 JLG / Skytrak 30" or 40" MT-SP10 Cat IT 24 (1" thick plates) 30" or 40" MT-SP11 Bucket mounts (pair) — any loader with a bucket 30" or 40"

As a wheel loader snow pusher, the five full-size couplers all require the 40" box. If you run a telehandler, a compact wheel loader, a Euro-coupler machine, or you are mounting to a bucket, either height works and the choice comes down to how much snow you want to carry.

14 ft and 16 ft pushers require two pairs of bucket mounts rather than one.

The 30" box runs 96" to 144" wide; the 40" box runs 120" to 192". There is no 96" box in the 40" height and no 168" or 192" in the 30".

🔑 Choosing Height, Width and Edge

  • Height is about volume, and about which mounts you can use. The 40" box carries more snow per pass and is the only height the five full-size wheel loader couplers will bolt to. The 30" box suits telehandlers, compact wheel loaders and bucket mounting.
  • Width should match the machine, not the lot. A box wider than the machine can push in one pass will overload the hydraulics and leave windrows at the edges. Match it to your loader's capability, then to the site.
  • Rubber edge for finished surfaces, steel for rough. Rubber (1.5" x 10") rides over expansion joints, manhole covers and sealed asphalt without gouging. Steel (1/2" x 6") scrapes harder on packed snow and rough concrete. Both reverse, so each gives you two working edges before replacement.
  • The spill guard keeps the load in the box. On long pushes, snow rolls back over the top of the box and is lost. The guard closes that off — available on the 96" and 120" sizes.

🌨 Why a Pusher Box Beats a Blade

  • It carries snow instead of casting it. A blade angles snow off to the side; a box holds it between two side plates and moves the whole volume to where you want it. On open lots that is far fewer passes.
  • AR-400 skid shoes set the wear point. The shoes carry the box on the surface and take the abrasion, keeping the cutting edge at a consistent height instead of grinding it away against pavement.
  • The bolt-on mount protects the investment. Change machines, or change coupler standards, and you buy a mount rather than another pusher. That is also why the mount is a separate line — it is meant to be changed.

❓ Snow Pusher FAQs

Does the pusher come with a mount?

No. Every HSP box requires a bolt-on mount, ordered separately, and the mount determines which machine the pusher fits. Ten mounts are available covering wheel loader couplers, telehandlers, Euro/Global, Cat IT and bucket mounting. Check the pairing table above, because five of the ten fit the 40" box only.

Which box height do I need?

If you run a full-size wheel loader with a JRB 416, JRB 418, IT 28, Cat Fusion, Volvo ISO or JD HiVis coupler, you need the 40" box — those mounts do not fit the 30". For a telehandler, a JLG or Skytrak, a Cat IT 24, a Euro/Global coupler or bucket mounting, either height works, and the 40" simply carries more per pass.

Rubber or steel cutting edge?

Rubber suits finished and sealed surfaces — it rides over joints and covers without catching, and is quieter. Steel suits rough concrete, gravel and packed snow where you need to scrape hard. Both are reversible, so you get two edges from each before replacing.

Can I add a spill guard to any size?

Spill guards are made for the 96" and 120" boxes. There is no guard for the 144", 168" or 192" widths.

Do the 14 ft and 16 ft boxes need anything extra?

If you are mounting them with bucket mounts, yes — those two widths take two pairs rather than one, because of the span the load is carried across.

Can I move the pusher to a different machine later?

Yes, and that is the point of the bolt-on system. The mount unbolts and a different one goes on, provided the new mount suits your box height. A 30" box cannot take the five 40"-only wheel loader mounts, so if you expect to move up to a full-size loader later, the 40" box keeps that option open.

Do the 14 ft and 16 ft pushers need anything extra?

If you are mounting them with bucket mounts, yes — those two widths take two pairs rather than one, because of the span the load is carried across.
