About this product
📘 Overview
The Haugen skid steer snow pusher (HSP) is a 30" tall, 38" deep box that carries snow between two side plates instead of casting it aside. Three widths, 84", 96" and 120", with a reversible rubber or steel cutting edge. AR-400 skid shoes and heavy duty 3/8" side plates.
An optional pull back bar lets you drag snow away from walls, doors and loading docks — the places a pusher alone cannot reach.

A pusher moves snow forward. That leaves everything against a building — the strip along a wall, the snow packed against a dock door, the bay you cannot approach head on.
The pull back bar mounts to the back of the box and drags snow toward you, so you clear tight to a wall then push the pile away in the same pass. Haugen makes the point directly: it is a great tool for cleaning close to doors and buildings, with good visibility because you are pulling toward the cab rather than pushing blind.
Steel pull backs are available on all three widths; rubber pull backs likewise. Match the pull back edge to the pusher edge for consistent wear.
🔪 Rubber or Steel Edge?
- Rubber, 1.50" x 10". Rides over expansion joints, manhole covers and sealed asphalt without gouging. Quieter, and the choice for finished surfaces and parking structures. Adjustable by itself or via the skid shoe.
- Steel, 1/2" x 6". Scrapes harder on packed snow and rough concrete. Adjusted by raising or lowering the skid shoe, which is quick.
Both are reversible, so each gives two working edges before replacement. AR-400 skid shoes carry the box and take the abrasion, keeping the edge at a consistent height instead of grinding it away against pavement.
📋 Weight Note
Haugen does not publish weights for the HSP skid steer range in the 2026 price guides, so none are listed here rather than estimated. support@eskidsteer.com can obtain them from the manufacturer.
🚜 Skid Steer Compatibility
Universal skid steer quick attach, fitting any skid steer or compact track loader with the standard SSQA interface.
Width should match what your machine can push in one pass. A 120" box on an underpowered loader leaves windrows at the edges and works the hydraulics harder than it should — match the box to the machine first, the lot second.
❓ Skid Steer Snow Pusher FAQs
Why choose a snow pusher attachment over a blade?
A blade angles snow off to the side; a pusher holds it between two side plates and carries the whole volume where you want it. On open lots that is far fewer passes and no windrow left behind.
What does the pull back bar do?
It drags snow toward you, so you can clear tight against walls, doors and docks — then push the pile away in the same pass. Available in steel or rubber on all three widths.
Rubber or steel edge?
Rubber for finished and sealed surfaces, since it rides over joints and covers without catching. Steel for rough concrete and packed snow where you need to scrape harder. Both reverse for a second working edge.
Which width should I choose?
Match it to what your machine can push fully loaded. Too wide and you leave snow at the edges and overwork the machine; the lot size matters less than the loader's capability.
What are the skid shoes for?
They carry the box on the surface and take the wear, keeping the cutting edge at a set height rather than grinding it down on pavement. AR-400 is an abrasion-resistant steel chosen for exactly that.
How does this differ from the wheel loader pusher?
This is a dedicated skid steer pusher with a universal quick attach mount. The wheel loader range uses a bolt-on mount system with separate mount plates for wheel loader, telehandler and tractor couplers, and comes in 30" and 40" box heights.
