About this product
📘 Overview
The Haugen skid steer snow bucket range covers three heights across fifteen sizes — Standard at 27", Medium at 30" and Mega at 42" — from 60" to 108" wide, with heaped capacities from 22.25 to 55.10 cu ft. Bolt-on cutting edges are included on every snow bucket in the range.
Snow is light and bulky, so these are built tall and deep rather than heavy. A snow bucket moves several times the volume of a dirt bucket the same width.

Width gets the attention, but height is what separates these three series, and the difference is large.
- Standard, 27" tall, 37" deep. The general-purpose choice. A 96" Standard holds 35.25 cu ft and weighs 670 lbs, which most mid-size skid steers handle comfortably.
- Medium, 30" tall, 41" deep. Three inches taller and four deeper adds roughly 20% capacity for the same width — a 96" Medium holds 42.70 cu ft against 35.25.
- Mega, 42" tall, 42.5" deep. Nearly half again as much as Standard at the same width. A 96" Mega holds 51.30 cu ft, but weighs 1,050 lbs empty.
Snow weighs between roughly 100 and 500 lbs per cubic yard depending on how wet and packed it is, so a full Mega bucket in heavy snow is a serious load. Choose the series on what your machine can carry when the bucket is full of the worst snow you get, not the lightest.
🔪 Cutting Edges Are Included
Every snow bucket in this range ships with bolt-on edges fitted — no separate order. The edge takes the wear against pavement, and replacing it is unbolting a wear part rather than rebuilding the bucket lip.
🚜 Skid Steer Compatibility
All models use a universal skid steer quick attach mount and fit any skid steer or compact track loader running the standard SSQA interface.
Empty weights run 480 lbs to 1,190 lbs. Add the snow: a heaped Mega bucket of wet snow can exceed the rated operating capacity of a smaller machine, so work from your loader's rating rather than from whether the bucket will physically mount.
❓ Skid Steer Snow Bucket FAQs
What is the difference between Standard, Medium and Mega?
Height and depth. Standard is 27" tall and 37" deep, Medium 30" and 41", Mega 42" and 42.5". At 96" wide that works out at 35.25, 42.70 and 51.30 cu ft — roughly 45% more capacity from Standard to Mega for the same width.
Why not just buy the biggest one?
Weight. A 96" Mega is 1,050 lbs empty against 670 for the Standard, and wet snow is heavy — up to around 500 lbs per cubic yard. Full, a Mega can exceed what a smaller skid steer can lift and still steer safely.
Do I need to order cutting edges separately?
No. Bolt-on edges are included on every snow bucket in this range.
Can I use a snow bucket for dirt?
It will hold dirt, but it is not built for it. Snow buckets are tall and light for volume; a dirt bucket has the plate thickness and structure for dense material and digging forces. A full snow bucket of soil is also far heavier than the same bucket of snow.
Which width should I choose?
At least as wide as your machine so the tires run in cleared ground. Wider clears more per pass but takes longer to fill and is heavier when full.
What does it mount to?
Universal skid steer quick attach — any skid steer or compact track loader with the standard SSQA interface.
Are cutting edges included?
Yes — bolt-on edges are fitted to every snow bucket in this range, so there is nothing further to order to run it.
What do the snow buckets weigh?
480 to 750 lbs on the Standard series, 710 to 875 lbs on the Medium and 975 to 1,190 lbs on the Mega. Wet snow adds substantially to that.
