About this product
📘 Overview
The Haugen skid steer conveyor bucket (MCB) is an extended-depth bucket built to carry high volumes of loose material without spilling it over the back on rough ground. Depths of 72" and 96" against a standard bucket's 34", in widths from 36" to 60", with 20" bucket height and side plates rising to 30".
1/4" reinforced steel floor, 3/8" side plates with inside gussets, 1/2" x 3" wear bars and a 3/4" cutting edge. Optional bolt-on edges. Custom lengths, widths and side plate heights are available.

A standard skid steer bucket is 34" deep and gets capacity from width. This one is 72" or 96" deep and stays narrow. That combination solves a specific problem.
- Material stays in on rough ground. A shallow wide bucket spills over the back edge when the machine pitches. A deep bucket holds the load well behind the lip, so it stays put across uneven sites.
- It fits where a wide bucket will not. At 36" or 48" wide these pass through doorways, between forms and down alleys that a 96" bucket cannot, while still carrying real volume.
- The load sits along the machine, not across it. Depth puts weight further forward, which is worth checking against your loader's capacity — but it keeps the bucket narrow enough to see past.
The side plates rise from 6" at the front to 30" at the back, so material can be loaded over the low front edge while the high rear contains it.
🔧 Build and Wear Parts
The floor is 1/4" reinforced steel with 1/2" x 3" wear bars running along it — the bars take the abrasion from material sliding in and out. Side plates are 3/8" with inside gussets. The cutting edge is 3/4", and bolt-on edges are available as an option so the wear part is replaceable.
Custom lengths, widths and side plate heights are available if none of the five standard combinations suits the job.
🚜 Skid Steer Compatibility
Heavy duty skid steer quick attach, so it fits any machine running the standard universal SSQA interface.
Bear in mind the extra depth carries the load further forward than a standard bucket does. That has more effect on stability than the same weight held close in, so check your loader's rated operating capacity at full reach.
❓ Conveyor Bucket FAQs
What is a conveyor bucket for?
Carrying high volumes of loose material without spilling it. The extra depth — 72" or 96" against a standard bucket's 34" — holds material well back from the lip, so it stays in the bucket when the machine pitches across rough ground.
Why is it narrow?
So it fits through doorways, between forms and into places a wide bucket cannot go, while still carrying serious volume through depth instead. At 36" or 48" wide these get into spaces a 96" bucket has no chance of.
Which depth should I choose?
72" is available in all three widths; 96" in 36" and 48". The 96" carries about a third more per load, and pushes the load further forward — worth checking against your machine's capacity at reach.
What are the wear bars for?
1/2" x 3" bars run along the 1/4" floor and take the abrasion of material sliding in and out. They wear instead of the floor, which is the expensive part to repair.
Can I get a size that isn't listed?
Yes — custom lengths, widths and side plate heights are available. support@eskidsteer.com can price a custom build with Haugen.
Does it take a bolt-on edge?
The standard cutting edge is 3/4", and optional bolt-on edges are available so the wearing edge is a replaceable part.
What are the wear bars and cutting edge?
1/2" x 3" wear bars run along the 1/4" reinforced floor and take the abrasion of material sliding in and out. The cutting edge is 3/4", with optional bolt-on edges so the wearing surface is replaceable.
