Mittler Bros. 2200-TM High Throat 3 Ton Manual Bench Press - 6" Tooling Clearance
The Mittler Bros. 2200-TM is the high throat version of Mittler's 3 ton manual bench press. The throat is still 12" deep, but the opening is 8" tall, which gives 6" of clearance between tooling where the standard press gives 3".
That extra height is for tall tooling stacks and for work that will not slide into a 3" gap: formed panels, flanged parts, and brackets that already have a bend in them. Capacity is unchanged. Mittler rates it for a 3" punch and flare in 16 gauge mild steel, and it takes the same punch and flare dies and press tooling as the rest of the 2200 series. Mittler Bros. press tooling covers louver punches, corner radius punches, corner notching, a 90 degree bend kit and a shear assembly, all sold separately.
The frame is 5/16" welded plate with bronze bushings on the ram. Tooling mounts straight in or rotated 90 degrees for side to side work. It ships at 78 lb in a 24" x 24" x 12" box.
If you only work flat sheet, the standard 2200-M does the same job for less. See all bench presses.
