About this product
Ame means "candy" in Japanese, and amebuchi is the name for a rim glazed in that warm, toffee brown. It's one of the most traditional finishes in Mino ware, the pottery from Gifu Prefecture that fills a big share of Japan's kitchen cabinets.
On this bowl the amber-brown band breaks and runs where it meets the lighter body, thinning as it goes down the wall. The wide, low shape gives your whisk plenty of room, and the foot keeps it steady on the counter.
