EXEDY Stage 2 Cerametallic 4 Puck Clutch Kit for Subaru STi

The EXEDY Stage 2 Cerametallic clutch kit with 4 pad disc for 2004-2020 Subaru STi is available with either a "Thin" or "Thick" disc. The thin disc offers quick shifting, but recommended for circuit racing only. The thick disc has a good heat capacity and performs well on the track. <meta charset="utf-8"><span>Not recommended for daily driving.</span><br><br><span style="color: #ff0000;">Vehicle Fitment:</span><br>• 2004-2020 Subaru STi<br>* These clutch discs are very grabby! *<br>* Not recommended for daily driving *<br><br><span style="color: #ff0000;">What's the difference between the Thin and Thick Discs?</span><br>The Thick Disc has a great heat capacity and therefore better durability in demanding applications and typically have less inertia than a stock disc. Works well for rally and track use and can be street driven, but will be very grabby.<br>The Thin Disc offers greatly reduced inertia for quicker shifting, and improved synchro durability. These discs are approximately half the thickness of a stock disc and are recommended for circuit track use only.<br><br><span style="color: #ff0000;">What's the difference between the 3-Pad and 4-Pad Discs?</span><br>The Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch kits come with either the 3-pad or 4-pad disc, also called "pucks". The 3-pad is a little lighter, while the 4 pad will have more surface area. They both have the same respective clamping force and torque capacity. Both are sprung discs. The 3-pad disc will have a harsher engagement and is known to "shudder." They both will be hard to slip as they are very on/off when it comes to engagement. They are very "grab and go!" If you need a good daily driver, the Stage 1 organic clutch is a good choice!<br><br><span style="color: #ff0000;">Cushion Button Disc:</span><br>The remarkable Cushion Button Disc combines cerametallic button facing with marcel cushion springs to maintain comfortable driving while supporting a respectable amount of power. Its smooth engagement is ideal for the street, and thanks to its heavy duty sprung hub dampening assembly, can handle the power of high torque motors.<br><br><span style="color: #ff0000;">Clutch Cover:</span><br>These clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load that is approx. 40% higher than the OEM part allowing a higher torque transmitting capacity.
