About this product

Run Pads on Your Vantage 14

The Clarke Vantage 14 scrubs with a brush, and Clarke's manual has you fit either the brush or this 14-inch pad holder to suit the floor. The pad holder (Clarke part 9099672000) locks onto the same hub as the brush, and short grip hooks across its face hold a 14-inch floor pad in place. Swap it in when you want to strip, scrub, buff or polish with a pad instead of a brush.

Which Pad Goes on It?

The Vantage 14 parts list names four 14-inch Nilfisk ECO pads for this pad holder, all sold in cases of five on our Nilfisk ECO floor pads page, from $49.42:

  • Brown (10001918) for stripping worn finish with a stripper.

  • Green (10001919) for deep scrubbing of heavily soiled floors.

  • Red (10001920) for light cleaning and buffing.

  • White (10001921) for polishing clean floors.

Pads work best on smooth floors. On grout lines and textured tile a flat pad rides over the low spots, so the Vantage 14 disc brushes are the better choice there. Our guide on brush vs pad explains when each one wins.

Why Use the Genuine Clarke Pad Holder

  • Made for the Vantage 14. It fits the same drive hub as the brush, so the deck, squeegee and controls work exactly as they do with the brush.

  • Grip face. Short hooks across the face hold the pad flat while it turns.

  • No tools. It goes on and comes off the hub by hand.

Fitting the Pad Holder

Center a 14-inch pad on the grip face first. Then, as the Vantage 14 manual describes it, slightly lift the machine's brush deck and place the pad holder under it. Turn the function selection knob to a program, then press the enabling push-button together with the brush levers to engage the pad holder. To take it off, turn the knob to 0, slightly lift the brush deck and release the pad holder from the hub by turning it sharply in its normal direction of rotation.

Clarke also advises releasing the brush levers whenever the machine isn't moving, so the pad doesn't sit spinning in one spot, and removing the pad at the end of the shift so it doesn't leave wet marks. Pad holders are wear items and aren't covered by Nilfisk's machine warranty except for manufacturing defects.
