About this product
A symbol of quiet industry and old-world order, rendered with pastoral ease. The beehive sits at the center of this composition like a gentle monument, surrounded by drifting bees and soft greenery, the scene borrowed from an antique etching that once lived in the margins of natural history books. It feels thoughtful and grounded, a tribute to patience, community, and the beauty of things made slowly and well.
Handcrafted in our New York City studio using the traditional French art of découpage, each bent-glass tray is made one at a time. Vintage-inspired imagery is carefully layered beneath glass and fired into permanence, creating a luminous surface with subtle depth and natural variation. No two trays are exactly alike. Each piece is individually signed by Ben, a quiet mark of authorship within his enduring world of objects meant to last.
Both beautiful and functional, the tray is food safe, wipe clean, and finished with a felted back. Use it flat on a table, display it upright on a gallery easel, or hang it with a plate hanger as a small work of art. Each tray arrives with a folded card explaining the centuries-old découpage process.
